Sorry guys, i have not been updated since a long long time. It's such a hurdle to update as well as study for finals when you were victim of massive 7.8 rector earthquake. Fortunately, all is well and i am able to update the blog. So, after sketching the nose let's move forward to the nostrils and the lips. Practicing nose of different shape with the side view is a plus point before you sketch the actual face. Nostrils are usually darker than other parts of the nose. So, i used 6b pencil to sketch the darkest area and shaded the lighter  with 3b pencil.

Moving forward to the lips, what you should jot down is- Lower lips is bigger than the upper lips. so, always sketch the lower lips a bit larger and shade with 3b and 2b. Whereas, there are some cases where the upper lips are bigger than the lower lips; in this case, upper lips should be shaded for a realistic look. The middle part of the lower lips is shiner, softer and usually pinkish so, don't try to shade it darker rather, use a lighter shade and an eraser to make it more brighter on the middle. The edge of the lips should be darker. Use 2b,3b and 6b as you sketch the lips. goodluck :)
